What a crazy world we live in! With all the ups and downs of Covid19 we would like to keep you up to date with our internal discussions here at Skytrek Willow Springs Station.
Firstly – we want to wish everyone health and safety today and in the future. We hope you are all doing ok and are coping with the daily changes.
As a small family business already suffering due to drought we have been also impacted by the Covid19 Crisis and have no doubt we will continue to be impacted moving forward until we return to a sense of ‘normality.’ Our business, which employs 4 members of the direct family, also employs 4 ‘Grey Nomads’ and we want to thank you for considering us for your next adventure as your support keeps us here in our beautiful home and allows us to share it with you. The best support you can be giving us is keeping us on your list of places to see/travel to and spreading the word of what we have to offer. We are extremely thankful to all those who keep us in their minds for both rain and a successful tourism season.
Policies & Procedures over the coming months:
In accordance with the current Government Guidelines we are requesting that all guests wear masks in any indoor areas where you may find yourself surrounded by other guests or our staff. This includes the Caretaker's Office, Camp Kitchen and Laundry.
If for any reason another outbreak occurs and we choose to close the gates to the property again we will not only notify our future guests with as much notice as possible but we are also willing to do a full refund of your booking if you wish. We understand this is not the most ideal situation however we hope you understand our reasoning including the consideration of the vulnerable persons in our family who live on site.
If Covid19 affects your reason to travel however we remain open we are offering our guests 2 options:
Option 1: Retain your booking and shift it to a later date (within the 12 months following your arrival date). Any payments already made can be held by Skytrek Willow Springs Station as a credit towards your name until you rebook your stay at a later date.
Option 2: We understand that many people will simply not be able to contemplate future plans and may need a refund for financial reasons. Any bookings that may need refunds relating to the Covid-19 situation we are willing to do a full refund excluding the $50 administration fee up to 48hrs prior to your arrival.
We will continue our Social Media posting with the focus of sharing our beautiful home to you and help you to plan your next great getaway. You can help us by commenting, engaging and sharing these posts to your friends and family to help spread the word. Click here for Skytrek Willow Springs Station on Facebook & here for Instagram.
We will continue to abide by Government and Industry Guidelines. We are keeping up to date with training and certifications available to ensure we are 'COVID Safe' and continuing to keep ourselves informed on requirements/needs of our guests and the best products we can use to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all of our visitors. It is a condition of our family business that all Staff are Fully Vaccinated to best protect our family, community and of course our guests.
Our Caretaker’s Office is regularly wiped down following guests interaction with our staff and we have sanitiser available on the desk for your use.
Our cleaning procedures within the Accommodation will remain thorough with each departure clean and pre-arrival clean ensuring floor to ceiling is being addressed and with extra emphasis on wherever hands or bodies touch! As we do not supply hand sanitiser in our Accommodation/Amenities we recommend you bring some along with you if possible, as well as disinfectant if desired and we continue to encourage the increased practice of hand washing.
If you are travelling with an infant, we ask that whilst we can provide the cot for you, it would be greatly appreciated if you could bring your own linen/blankets for your child - this is purely an extra safety precaution for 'vulnerable' cases such as your little ones.
Our Amenities are cleaned daily and extra cloths/disinfectant is available in our Camp Kitchen to allow each guest to wipe down all surfaces after using this facility. We ask that guests respect the area of the small kitchen and abide by social distancing guidelines at all times. We ask that all of our visitors assist us to meet the guidelines by limiting their gatherings to 20 persons or less and ensuring social distancing and good hand and respiratory hygiene is practised.
We'd also just like to remind our future guests that whilst most businesses in the area are open, we are all still very much navigating our way around the impacts Covid19 Restrictions have on our businesses and livelihood. Many of us are doing all we can to offer our guests the same experiences as ‘pre Covid19,’ however we are still learning so remember to Be Kind, Be compassionate and Have Patience as we do our best to operate under the new ‘normal.’ If you would like more information on how some local businesses have had to adapt with limited services/hours please do not hesitate to contact us – we would be happy to explain the best we can.
Finally, over the next few months please feel free to reach out, say hello and if you have any questions regarding the property, business or region please do not hesitate to contact us. We are committed to staying strong and look forward to offering you the best Flinders Ranges experience.
